Who had them Keasha or Sally and why ?
I was like girl those are Fred keys. Keasha stole them from him earlier this morning after she got it on with him . So you are telling me Keasha served Fred then came up here with Sally and got busy too. Yes Ma’am, that my lady is what I am saying to be so. Anyway why you so concern about who had the keys ?
Changing the subject quickly, all Angela could say after that was I would not have ever thought of this day happening. That makes two of us.
It was a quiet ride back to town . Angela pop in a Teena Marie CD and song along to some of her slow jams such as “if I was a bell” and “ out on a limb”. We ended up going straight over to Angela’s place once we got into town to relax from the trip.
Angela came out of the guest room and said Keasha been here. I said , what she take to make you say that. She said not what she took but what she left and held up a letter in her hand. What it say ? I asked. Nothing much just that she is sorry, scared , and in too deep to turn back but will not run out just need to step back for a few days to get a better picture of the whole thing. Plus she left your keys.. I mean Fred keys to the cabin. She also say she don’t know if she is in love or lust with Sally body. She will find that out too while away.
I was like wow she is spinning right about now . How about you Angela are you okay? She said she is just going to shower and lay down for a hour or two to break from it all. Sounds good I’ll make us some drinks. She said only one glass for her. While she was in the shower doing her thing I made a little snack for her to eat so she will have something on her stomach while she nap. After the shower Angela came in and ate a little and drank a half glass of wine and went off to sleep.
Meanwhile, Keasha and Sally was at the airport on their way to Puerto Rico. Keasha was asking Sally how much money she has and how long they can stay there .Well , said Sally not much and not long . Sally said Fred didn’t come through for her like she planned. Fred ? said Keasha. Yes I ask Fred for a few dollars and he joked me. So I went off on him said Sally. Keasha said Fred Dreads lends people money? Yes he does . That man is more than just flash he hoards his cash. They both laughed and hugged then feel to sleep on each other.
Back at Angela’s house.
Angela was just waking up asking the time and day. I said it is 9pm Thursday you only slept for a couple of hours. She went to tidy up as if she needs to . That is one lady who always looks like she step out of a fashion magazine. Fresh and desirable.
She ask, what were you up to while I was sleep? Just chilling watching this old black and white movie. How are you feeling ? Just fine says Angela. You know as I laid there in the bed thinking of Keasha and Sally I realized this is not my problem and so I am not in it unless she brings me in it when she returns. So no more about it, but I am going to the prison in the morning to visit Mya. Now Angela I thought you just said .. No I just want to visit her I have been neglecting that for the past 5 months or so. I will not bring up my knowledge of what Keasha said about the case. After I visit her then I can go and have a great weekend . Angela then ask what’s to eat and did I eat or cook anything for myself for dinner. I said no but I did order out once I heard you get up so it should be her soon enough. Cool good looking out , I am glad you stuck around , she says with a coy smile. The food came about 5 minutes later and we ate and drank until we were fat cats .
As we were relaxing with a bottle and a couple of glasses. I ask Angela if she was planning on going to Jodie’s Place this weekend . I told her it was to be off the hook so said Fred. She said yeah you know I have to be there. Besides the fun there is an old friend I went to college with who is going to be show casing her skills on the mic. How about you? she says. Oh yeah I am to hook up with Fred and we are to roll. “ I see “ says Angela. So you and Fred are rolling with no women folk tagging along ?
Yes, that is not so strange is it ?
Who are you stepping with Ms all that and more. Oh just me. What ?! Ms. Angela is stepping out without and man to hold her coat as she play the game . Oh my what a night this is going to be. History I think it is called (joking ). Very funny ., said Angela.
How about going with us to the spot . No, no, no said Angela I will be a third wheel . I was like no you will be more like the designated driver. Do to you know Fred get his and I may want to get a little head on too. Okay but how will Fred like it . Shot girl Fred has no problem with you being with us he will think it will be cool .
Let me tell you this when we step in the Place with you all heads will turn. The three of us will be so fresh and so clean. Ever player up in there will be feeling us . Okay cool she said . I know what I am going to wear . What will that be Lady ? That my man will be for you to see later that evening. She then raised her glass up for toast an we both smiled as if we were scheming .
We were both still lounging on the sofa listening to some Lena Horne and Sara Vangh . Half way through our second bottle of wine Angela laying across me as I was slouched just enjoying the moment when the phone rang .It rang about 6 time then she said let me get it. It might be Keasha.. Who else will call at this time of night ( 12:45am) and let the phone ring like this .
I said , “it’s a booty call don’t you know .”
Angela said , yeah right , Sally is gone remember ( we both laughed ) .
Angela pick up phone and it was Fred yes Fred Dreads . Guess who he was looking for and why. Keasha ! He must have been upset do to Angela’s demeanor was not relaxed and, she kept asking him to calm down. I was about to say something and she signaled to stay quiet .
Angela said , “Fred what did she do so bad that make you say these things about her?” Fred said , Angela you my girl and all but your cousin is foul. Keasha robbed me or may I say screwed me out of about $3,000.00 this morning . Angela screamed WHAT !? She took $3,000.00 from you .( she said this out loud so I could here it) I almost choked on my drink when I heard that . I could not help but say WHAT! Fred must have heard me and ask Angela who was there with her so she said I was over . Fred ask to speak with me so she past the phone. Fred then broke it down to me. I ask him to meet me tomorrow after work at my house he agreed but said if he see Keasha first she will be hurt . I said I feel you man and hung up.
Angela was back on the sofa laying face down. Once again my mind went straight to how fine she is perfect in every dimension nice and thick. She said into the pillow , what did Fred have to say? He said he is going to hurt your cousin when he see her.
Angela was focus on getting her head out of this mess and said is this going to mess up our weekend fun. I was like I don’t know. I am going to talk with him after work tomorrow . Angela said she wanted to be there . I said not a good idea . She then said well I want to tell him what those two crazy women are up to . I said I understand ( even though I didn’t do to we both knew Fred will kill Keasha for sure) let me hit him with it first then you come by later say about 7 PM or so. That way all the crazy words and thoughts Fred is going to say about your cousin should be over . If you are there you will try to defend her. Angela said no I will not . I said come on she is your little cousin you are not going to let Fred or anyone else beat down Keasha verbally or other wise. Plus if you show up and fight our stepping plans will be out of the question because then Fred will be pissed with you over this mess . Angela said all right but still I want to say something to Fred I don’t want him to wet her up later . I understand me either.
It was late and Angela said,” lets go to sleep you can sleep in Keasha’s room.“ Cool both of us have to get up in a little while good night.
