| About Adirondack Life There's something special about living in the Adirondacks. Nobody needs to tell us that we live in an area unlike any other part of New York. When you combine the beauty of this area with all the year round activities, you can see why this is such a special place. With all that this area has to offer, it is the people who live here that make the Adirondacks such a remarkable place. There is an enormous variety of artists and craftspeople here. Whether watching maple syrup being made at a sugar house or fresh cider being pressed at a water-powered mill, you realize that no matter how busy someone seems to be, they always have time to stop and talk. It's that one defining quality that seems to separate us country folk from those who prefer the fast life that city living tends to offer. |

| About Rainy Day There's something about a rainy day that always puts me at ease. On sunny days you would almost always want to be outdoors. Even a cold, snowy day could find you wandering outside to work or play in the snow. A rainy day usually keeps people inside, looking for a good book to curl up with or a board game or jigsaw puzzle to occupy their time. If it wasn't for days like this, when would we ever break out those old home videos that always fill us with memories of our youth. We all need a break from all the trouble and madness in the world, even if just for a brief time. Unplugging the TV and phone surely help, but combine that with a hot drink and comfortable chair, and that rainy day only enhances the atmosphere that you create for yourself. Never let an opportunity slip by that gives you a chance to relax and reflect on life. All those challenges in our lives will still be waiting for us, so just sit back and enjoy the break. |
