||Most mothers develop an intense bond with their newborn child. This may be because a baby is so completely dependent on their mother for survival, even before they are born. As a child grows older, it's usually the mother who fears for their safety anytime they are not in sight or within reach. A father can show just as much love for their child, but is usually more understanding of letting the bird leave the nest, or maybe they just hide their true feelings better. How many times have mothers dreaded that first day of school, when they have to trust that their "baby" will return home safe at the end of the day? Whether it's seeing a 5 year old off to school, or watching their 18 year old head off to College or the Military, the burden most mothers carry is the fear that there is only one place they know of to keep their baby safe from harm.
