You never hear anyone talk about pine trees during the fall, but come winter, there is only one tree that goes hand in hand with any type of winter scene you can imagine. Anybody who has ever driven down a country road after a fresh fallen snow, knows the beauty and tranquility that comes with being surrounded by snow covered pines. You can't help but be reminded of pleasant childhood memories of the Christmas season, of sleigh rides and ice skating, snowball fights and days off from school. There is such a peaceful feeling you get just walking through the woods after a snowstorm. When I find myself in such situations, it's too easy to forget about all the trouble in the world, and it's then that I wish my kids had a more peaceful world to grow up in. |
