Thursday 24 The di Marco's have left leaving a place empty in the Square. A skip van arrives outside No 23, covering Ian Beale's new car with dust. When Ian asks what it's in aid of, the skip driver, named as Cosmic, says it's for a new family moving in. Monday 4 A taxi pulls up outside number 23 and Charlie Slater gets out. As he walks in Jim says to him "There's a new family moving in there" Charlie replies " I know, I am the new family." As the workman have been making so much noise, Jim takes his chance to complain about it. Charlie replies, "If you think they're noisy, you should meet my daughters!" {clip} Tuesday 5 Robbie is so pleased to get his first wage packet that he plans a night out with Jamie - he is on the pull. At this point Jim pipes up and says, "P'rhaps you should hang on to your money Robbie. I've just been speaking to the Geezer who's moving in next door and apparently he's got a stack of daughters." Tuesday 12 As the building work continues a council officer comes round to check up on it. Once again Jim takes the opportunity to complain and asks for a rent reduction due to the workmen's noise. He is informed that the new lot are going to move in on Monday and they used to live around here before. Jim Comments "Oh, so you've had to sling them out before have ya? I hope they don't lower the tone around here" and the officer replies, "If that's possible" Thursday 14 Jim discusses the new family with Robbie and Sonia and tells them that some people are going to get a shock as there are some old faces moving in to the square.
