HISTORY
The year 2000 has long been a year of legend. The beginning of a new milennia. Many religious zealots beleived the year 2000 would bring about the end of the world. The Apocolypse. The Y2K scare of economic collapse because of computer rollover failure was another fear. To the world at large however, 2000 came with no dangers and destruction, and the world moved on into the new century.
But 2000 didn't just come and go with no consequence. A boundery was breeched, and the fear of what 2000 might bring, though unrealized, happened in a way unthought of and generally unknown. A mystic boundery which had long held the evils of myth and legend in check collapsed. Legendary evils such as vampires and werewolves were now free to roam at their leisure!
You may believe me insane, but I have seen these evils, and I have battled them!!! My name is Nolan Mansfield, and I am a Night Stalker!!
I am a man of some considerable financial means, but I couldn't buy my way out of what happened in Febuary of the year 2000. It came! It crossed my mansions security like it was nothing, and it took my wife and daughter and it killed them. It drained them of their blood! This Abomination! This VAMPIRE!!
Somehow I survived, and through luck killed the creature, but it had taken what was most precious to me, so I swore to forever hunt it's kind! And I found others who believed me and had experienced similar things. Of course to go public meant to be confined in a mental institute, so I used my wealth to create the Mansfield Foundation. A legitimate business on the outside, but on the inside, the home of my group of NIGHT STALKERS!!
Together with the best scientist, mystics, and men and women willing to meet the evils hand to hand, My resourses have created a small army against the evils 2000 released!
And there are others out there. Some who wander the world on their own for whatever reason their past created, to battle whatever evils they can find. And my old rival, William Worthington III has created his own group of Night Stalkers. He has capitolized on the evil and fights for profit rather than humanity, but he fights, though often we are in conflict.
They're out there!! And the Night Stalkers will combat them, however possible!!!
