A
tinderbox is a little tin box a camper or soldier takes with him into
the wilderness. Inside the box we find some matches or a flint and
steel along with some kindling. The purpose for it is so that he is
able to create a spark that can be turned into a fire that, in turn,
will warm him and cook his food.
The
tinderbox only helps to create the spark. It is up to the person to
build the fire and keep it going.
Tinderbox,
the center, will be offered for much the same reason. We are here
to start a spark in the soul. However, we feel it is up to the individual
to take it upon themselves to add to that and build their own belief
system.
Tinderbox
Charge
Tinderbox will work to unite the Pagan Community of Columbus,
Ohio. To let them know they have a place they can gather whenever
they need it. Whether it is to worship or to relax. Tinderbox
will create a feeling of togetherness.
Tinderbox will work to help each person with in it to feel safe
and accepted. Tinderbox is here to help the people walk their
chosen religious path with out judging them or telling them
that they are wrong for their choice.
Tinderbox is not to change peoples paths or to ask them to
give it up. In stead, we will work to help people find what
path is best for them by allowing them the access to the knowledge
of as many options as possible.
Tinderbox will work to give knowledge to those seeking it. When
it comes to the metaphysical and religious paths, both student
and teacher have so much to learn. When one walks into the doors
of Tinderbox, teachers become students and students become teachers.
In other words, We become equal in every way.
Tinderbox will work to improve the Pagan Community in any way we are
able to. This will include making donations of food to those who hunger,
donating clothes to those who shiver, giving books and alter supplies
to those who have none, cleaning parks, or just simply by visiting
a friend in the hospital.
Tinderbox will work to teach people to take a moment to pay attention
to the little things. To reflect on how or why those little things
influence them. To help them to realize they may find out something
about the world around them, from the inside and the out.
Tinderbox will work to create One United Pagan Community to be proud
of.
Tinderbox
is here to enrich the Pagan Community with love and light. To
awaken their sense of balance, belonging, togetherness, family,
and friendship. All the while helping them feel empowered in
the path of their own choosing.

offers the community Studying, Learning, Rituals, Networking,
Fellowship, Events, Self Empowerment, Self Improvement, Holistic
Choices

shares with the community topics of all metaphysical study.

I
have a personal dream to see Tinderbox become an actual Pagan
Community Center, Community Store, Study Hall, and Art Gallery
all rolled into one building.
It is not just a dream, it is a goal.
We
are raising money where ever and however possible so that
we can have our own building. A place where we can turn Tinderbox
from a dream to a reality.
