Crows and ravens look very similar, and it can be difficult to tell them apart. However, there are some unique differences between these two black feathered birds. Ravens are about 1/3 larger than crows with a longer neck and longer beak too. Their calls are different. A crow makes a "caw" sound, but a raven has a deep croak sound. Ravens tend to soar more, and you can see larger spacing between their feathers as they're in flight. The throat of a raven can sometimes look like it has a shaggy mane of feathers. |
