It is illegal to keep a native animal as a pet in the United States without a permit. However, if you decide to anyway, and/or get a permit, here's what you can do to care for an abandoned baby crow. (I got this info from ASCAR's website). For food you can mix up oatmeal and lean beef heart, give egg yolks, and an avian vitamin. Don't ever keep the crow in a cage though, or it may become demented, since it's a migratory bird. Once the bird is healthy and able to fly, you can release him. He may even remain around your yard and continue visiting you until it's time to migrate. |
