Nov. 21, 1861 St. Paul, MN d. Jan 6, 1916 La Jolla, CA	Hazel was the baby of Mary Virginia Grimshaw Hunt and James Balwin Hunt's 13 children. She went West to Lewiston ID to "Normal" school (teacher's college) and worked as a teacher in a one room school house. She met and married Ralph Cushman Vance in Idaho. They lived briefly in Tulsa, OK before moving to Beaver County, PA where Mr. Vance was raised. In 1924 When Ralph passed away, Hazel and her 10 year old daughter "Ginnie" moved to California, by way of Washington State, to be with some of her sisters. Jan 31, 1977 Port Jefferson, NY view obit Hazel lived in La Jolla, CA until 1953 When She, her daughter Virginia nad her grand daughter Joanne moved to New York, first in Brooklyn and later in Great Neck on Long Island. In 1972 The family, now including Jaonne's husband and two children moved to Setauket, NY where she lived until 1977 when she died at the ripe old age of 89. Hazel was a "hoot", folks. She loved puns, had a great sense of humour. She was the ultimate "Lady" and was still recieving marriage proposals from a childhood beau at the age of 86.			Husband Ralph Cushman Vance b.
