Nicole began breeding Whippets 20 years ago and moved into Boxers in the 1990's. She has also been involved with Saint Bernards for 5 years. Other breeds Nicole has handled include: Afghans, Dobermans, Chinese Crested, Shiba Inus, Siberian Huskies, Alaskan Malamutes, American Cocker Spaniels, and she has shown Akitas and Beagles through to Best in Show and Grand Championships.
Achievments so far include:
Bostons - In conjunction with her parents, Nicole has bred and or owned over 80 champions, 6 generations of Speciality BIS winners, Champions in 5 countries, BIS/RBIS all breeds winner, In show winners at the NZ National Dog show. Boston of the year winners for many years.
Whippets - Nicole has titled 3 Whippets to Grand Championship, bred and or owned BIS all breeds and Speciality BIS winners, NZ's Puppy of the Year winner all breeds, champions in 5 countries including grand champions and Malaysia's top Hound winners 03/04.
Boxers - As part of 'Valeska Boxers', Nicole is co-Breeder and owner of multi all breeds and speciality BIS winners, champions in 3 countries including Royal BOB and CC winners in Australia and NZ national dog show BOB and CC winners in NZ. Boxer of the Year for The Boxer Club on numerous occasions. Valeska is also home to the only Boxer in Australasia to gain NZ and Australian Grand Championship.
Judging - Nicole has been a dog show judge for 22 years - but has only aspired to the 3 groups where her heart is: she is qualified to judge groups 4 (hounds), 6 (utility ) and 7 (non sporting). To date she has judged in most states of Australia and all over NZ.
Nicole currently works in the Animal Health Industry which flows in well to her dog career. Devine Kennels is committed to healthy sound quality dogs - all Bostons are sold with eye and patella certificates.
