Suffered Paralytic Shock Sunday From Which She Never Rallied -
Former Resident of Vienna - Funeral Saturday.

At 2 o'clock this morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Charles Sweatland in Westdale,
occurred the death of Mrs. Lany M. Sweet, a highly respected lady who has spent her entire life
in this section. Sunday morning she suffered a paralytic shock which left her unconscious, a
condition from which she did not rally before death released her.

Mrs. Sweet was born in Clay N.Y. 72 years ago June 12th, a daughter of Abram and Esther
Strobeck. Fifty years ago in Brewerton she was married to the late Esick Sweet, who preceeded
her last spring. Ten years after their marriage they moved to the town of Vienna, where for 40
years they made their home. Deceased went to reside with her daughter in Westdale about 18
months ago. Early in life she united with the M.E. church and all who knew her speak well of
her character and life.

To mourn her death besides many friends are four daughters - Mrs. Sweatland of Westdale, Mrs.
Chas. Hamilton of Fulton, Mrs. Milo Congdon of McConnellsville, Mrs. Sidney Price of Camden; a
sister, Mrs. Malissa Pomeroy of Syracuse; and two brothers, David Strobeck of West Monroe and
Frank Strobeck of Syracuse.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday from her late home, and burial will be made in
Forest Park Cemetery, Camden.
