These are most of the JPop CD's that I own, but I'll be putting up reviews of some Anime and Korean Pop CD's as well.

| Ayumi Hamasaki: A Song for XX |
 The best selling
album in Japan, and after listening to the MP3's I decided to buy the album. It is an excellent CD and her vocal abilities are strong with a distinct nasal sound. The music is a cross between Every Little Thing and MAX. |
| Ayumi Hamasaki: A |
An excellent CD to listen to, but it would be better used in a dance club! Fourteen tracks, arranged in four sections; four new songs, remixes of those songs, instrumentals of the first section, and two bonus songs which are remixes from the first section. Although I found the remix to the fourth song somewhat awkward, it is still a great CD single to purchase. |
| Ayumi Hamasaki: Boys & Girls |
 A CD single with a
regular and several remixed versions of the song, Boys & Girls. Remix versions of LOVE ~Destiny~ and To Be are included as well. The song Boys & Girls is used in a commercial promoting an Aube product. |
| Ayumi Hamasaki: ayu-mi-x - Remix Club Side |
The first CD from the two CD set, featuring fourteen fast paced dance remixes from her first album A Song for XX. |
| Ayumi Hamasaki: ayu-mi-x - Acoustic Orchestra Side |
The second CD from the twin CD set, ayu-mi-x. Comprised of thirteen tracks, filled with soothing orchestrated remixes from her first album, A Song for XX. |
| Ayumi Hamasaki: Fly High |
A CD single full of remixes of the song Fly High. Most of the remixes are great, but I kept skipping a couple of the tracks, because it didn't have the same feel as the rest of the songs. My only complaint about this CD is a lack of a song listing inside the CD jewel case. However take note that the track listings is only provided on a paper sticker stuck to the disposeable plastic wrapping. |
| Ayumi Hamasaki: Kanariya |
A great sounding song, accompanied by a strong techno track. The various remixes give life to this wonderful song, making it another great dance CD. However, this is not a cheery song, as the translation sheds a dark, disturbing side to it. |
| Ayumi Hamasaki: ayu-ro mix |
Brought to you from the same people who produce the Euro-Beat CD's. It is no surprise here if you have purchased any of their CD's that you will find the same club dance beat in these wonderful songs. Remixed with a great club feel, this is another CD you should bring to your dance nights! |
| Ayumi Hamasaki: Acoustic Orchestra |
Orchestra style remixes of Ayumi's past CD singles. This is from a set of CD's that were released consisting of various dance and orchestrated remixes from composers in Japan, Europe, and the U.S. If you're a fan of her singing, or you prefer to listen to soothing classical music, then this would be your best CD to get. |
| Ayumi Hamasaki: Non-Stop Mega Mix |
A two CD set with non stop dance remixes. |
| Ayumi Hamasaki: Vogue |
This song took my by surprise by its Spanish beat, and one can imagine latin dancers moving to the music. A strong emotional feeling can be felt in the vocals, but the remixes give this song more style. Track 8, however was awkward because at times the music style did not match her singing. This single also comes with remixes of Too Late, Whatever, and Ever Free. A wonderful CD single with great dance remixes! |
| Ayumi Hamasaki: Far Away |
This song has a touch of sadness, and it can be felt in the rythym and in her singing. Two remixed songs, Appears and End Roll, are included in this single. Track #9 caught my attention with its fast paced style, great for driving on the freeway! |
| Ayumi Hamasaki: Seasons |
A very emotional song, with a touch of sorrow mixed in. The second track has a softer touch which flows nicely with Ayu's vocals. The two remixed songs, To Be and Ever Free, are included with the single. The pace jumps into full throttle at track #6. Track #8 is my favourite, another great remix suitable for fast driving! This single has a great variety of slow and fast music. |
| Ayumi Hamasaki: Audience |
As the cover illustrates, happy and upbeat song with lots of great dancing remixes. Two remixes of Surreal, and a remix of Seasons are on this single. Need a collection of great upbeat songs to listen to while cruising, then get this CD! |
| Ayumi Hamasaki: M |
A delightful song with a mixture of Ayu's passionate vocals. Two remixed tracks on this CD single are Seasons and Far Away. Track #4 should have been dubbed the "Sailor Moon remix", but it is an enjoyable remix to listen to. |
| Ayumi Hamasaki: the other side ONE |
his is the first of four releases featuring unreleased remixes from various remixing artists. All tracks on this CD are remixed by Hex Hector. Three remixed tracks from the single Kanariya, and from the other single Boys and Girls. The remixes are excellent, and would be ideal for a party scene. For each of the songs, there is an instrumental track. |
| Ayumi Hamasaki: the other side TWO |
More wonderful remixes that were never released on any singles or albums. The two songs, Appears and Boys & Girls, are remixed by Junior Vasquez. These remixes have a strong beat, and are more lively. Need to dance to some music, then get this single! |
| Ayumi Hamasaki: the other side THREE |
Remixes which were not released are featured on this great CD single. The two featured songs are Trauma and Too Late. The remixes are done by Thunderpuss, and they give these songs new life and a great dance beat! There are only five tracks on this single, and only the song Trauma has an instrumental track. Otherwise, this is another great CD single to add to your dance collection! |
| Ayumi Hamasaki: the other side FOUR |
New remixes that were not released on Ayumi's singles. Two great remixes by System F for the song Whatever, and Vincent De Moor does the remixes for the song Fly High. These remixes have a fast pounding pace, which wrap around Ayumi's wonderful voice. An instrumental remix is provided for the song Fly High. This is a great CD single for those who like a fast dance pace! |
| Ayumi Hamasaki: Evolution |
An upbeat song with plenty of energy to keep you dancing away. Two remixed tracks on this CD are End of the World and Surreal. The tracks on this CD are fast paced and great for partying or driving on the freeway! This single is one of my personal favorites. |
| Ayumi Hamasaki: Poker Face (remix) |
This rerelease of her first CD single, produced by Avex Trax, has an additional four remixes of the song Poker Face. Despite being a slow song, the remixes do a great job of pushing it into a faster pace. |
| Ayumi Hamasaki: You (remix) |
Another rerelease from her previous CD single, You. This reissue comes with four remixes of the song, You. These new remixes have a mixture of slow and fast paced music. |
| Ayumi Hamasaki: Trust (remix) |
A rerelease of her previous CD single, Trust. There are three new remixes with this CD. All of the remixes are as slow and soothing as the original mix. Very well done, and ideal for just sitting back and relaxing. |
| Ayumi Hamasaki: For My Dear... (remix) |
This rerelease of her original CD single, For My Dear..., comes with three remixed songs. Two of them are from the song, For My Dear..., and a remix of the song Friend II. I didn't mind the remixes, and the remix for Friend II has a good dance tempo. |
| Ayumi Hamasaki: Depend On You (remix) |
This is another re-release of her original CD single. This song has a nice upbeat pace, which sets it apart from her previous debut singles. New remixes of Depend On You and Two of Us. |
| Ayumi Hamasaki: To Be (remix) |
The last of the remixes from Ayumi's debut CD singles. Four remixes are added to this CD. Three of the remixes are from the song, Fly High, and one remix of Appears. The song, To Be, is a wonderful song with lots of feelings. Another great re-release from Ayumi! |
| Ayumi Hamasaki: Never Ever |
This song has a sorrowful feel to it, but it's not one of my favourite singles. However the remixes of this song are upbeat and have a great melody which lifts this song up! A remixed version of Seasons and Evolution are on this CD. |
| Ayumi Hamasaki: Endless Sorrow |
Like the title says, this is a very sad song. Even if you can't understand the lyrics, it can be felt in her voice and the music. Two remixed songs, Vogue and Never Ever, are on this CD. The remixes take this slow sad song and spice it up with a fast dance tempo. Very well done! |
| Chieko Higuchi: Believe (CD-Single) |
These songs are included in the Virtual On drama CD's, but this single includes the karoke versions of these two songs. I don't know the price, but it's roughly 1,000 yen. |
| Chiffons: Higher & Deeper (CD-Single) |
An excellent CD single, excellent music and vocals, a quality that is lacking in a lot of groups. The first song has a dance-pop style, and the second song is slow with an enjoyable piano accompaniment. |
| Cybertroopers Virtual On: CyberNet Rhapsody - Episode #14 |
My favourite drama CD containing one of the songs from the CD single, Believe, and has remixes for most of the VR background music (Raiden and Viper II are not included). Fei-Yen sings as well and the singer is Chieko Higuchi. Released by Futureland, and the price is 2,913 yen. |
| Cybertroopers Virtual On: Counterpoint 009A - Episode #16 |
 This CD contains
some 'fragment' tracks from the previous drama CD and is a mix of drama tracks and singing. Four of the tracks are sung by Fei-Yen including one of the songs from the CD single: Believe. Released by Futureland, and the price is 2,718 yen. |
| D&D: Love is a Melody |
After listening to the MP3 versions of a couple of their songs, I was hooked! I bought the album in December 1998, and all the tracks are excellent. It's a Jpop dance CD, and most of their songs are from their CD singles. |
| D&D: Kiss in the Sun (CD-Single) |
Their first CD without Olivia Lufkin, the lead singer, and they've done a great job. The former back up singers are now in the spotlight (and are seen here in the background of this page). |
| D&D: Rise in my Heart (CD- Single) |
The first song is very good, but I found the second song to be as just as good, though it has a style reminicient of the first Max album. |
| D-Loop: Just Place of Love (CD-Single) |
An all around enjoyable CD with two great dance songs. |
| D-Loop: Love Me Tender (CD-Single) |
This is not and Elvis song, so I was sort of disappointed, but nonetheless it is an enjoyable song to listen to. |
| Dream: Heart On Wave |
This group made their debut performance in 1999, and they have really made an impact with their impressive voices and the techno/dance music that is featured on every track. This is their second album, and there wasn't a single track that I didn't dislike, which makes this single a great buy! Two songs are featured on the single with various remixes that will keep the listener dancing in the streets. |
| Dream: Private Wars |
Every time they come out with a new single, the songs get better every time. This third single has an amazing feel for the dance floor and those who like to dance the night away won't be disappointed in this CD. |
| Dream: Reality |
The fourth single from this really popular girl group. At the time of this review they're only 16 years old, but their singing quality outlasts anything that the North American girls singers can dish out in the music industry. And Dream's talent outshines them all in this single. |
| Every Little Thing: Everlasting |
Their first album, and I liked most of their songs. One of the tracks is a short instrumental 'jam session'. |
| Every Little Thing: Time to Destination |
I haven't listened to this CD much, but it's ok. |
| Every Little Thing: The Remixes |
The title says it all, and they're just dance remixes of the songs taken from the first and second album. This is the first of the two remix CD's that they released. |
| Every Little Thing: Best Single Collection +3 |
 A compilation of their
personal best songs plus a bonus of three of their latest songs. If you've never heard of this group, then this CD would be your best buy. It has songs from the past two albums and from the CD singles. |
| Every Little Thing: Pray (CD Single) |
 No review available. |
| Every Little Thing: Sure (CD Single) |
 Great song, great remixes. |
| Every Little Thing: Rescue Me (CD Single) |
 No review available. |
| Every Little Thing: Everlasting |
The third album of this famous group, with the singer sporting a different look which is seen on the front cover. Two of the tracks are remixes, which means that you would have to purchase the CD single in order to
listen to the original song. Otherwise all of the songs have an upbeat happy feel, except for the song "Who Cries For Me?" which has a lonely sad feeling and is only a minute long. Another
surprise about this album is one-third of the songs are reminiscient of the North American mid- 80's style, similar to Phil Collins and Chicago's upbeat tempo. |
| Max: Kiss Me, Kiss Me, Baby (CD-Single) |
Two excellent upbeat dance songs on this single. |
| Max: Seventies (CD-Single) |
As the title says, Seventies, and there's an amble dose of seventies style music in the song. No complaints here, because this is a great song for freeway driving. It's a speed song! |
| Max: Love Impact (CD-Single) |
 No review available. |
| Max: ? (c/w We'll Be Together) (CD-Single) |
 No review available. |
| Max: Maximum |
Their first album and has an excellent selection of dance tracks. Upbeat, fast, and provides great driving music...that is if you enjoy being in the fast lane. For great dance music, get this album! |
| Max: Maximum II |
The songs on this album mirror the Michael Jackson style, and it can obviously be felt in the music. However, it feels that some of the songs borrowed styles from other artists, making this album a somewhat enjoyable CD to listen to. |
| Max: Maximum Groove |
A very lively compilation of songs in their third album. I found this to be much better than the second album, and their visual image has changed appearing more uplifting and feminine. For those who were expecting the same Max music style, well you won't find it here in this album because it's mostly mellow and slow. |
| Max: Maximum Collection |
A two CD compilation of their best songs taken from their past three CD albums. If you purchase the original Japanese album, then you're in for a treat because it comes with a bonus CD single. If you've never heard of them or have never listened to their music, then this would be a great buy because it covers various dance music styles from their three albums. |
| Max: HyperEuro MAX |
From the same composers who brought you Ayumi Hamasaki: Euromix, Super Eurobeat brings out super dance remixes of MAX's greatest songs. Unlike Ayumi's album, most of these songs have a slow pace and even when they are given a techno/dance boost, the underlying slow pace is still present. Nonetheless it is a good CD, but not as good as I had expected it to be. |

| Mayo Okamoto: Forever (CD-Single) |

| Mayo Okamoto: Sun and Moon |
 Her first album. |
| Mayo Okamoto: Pureness |
This album is just as good as her first one. |
| Mayo Okamoto: Smile |
 This album is a
compilation of her CD singles with a couple of new songs. |
| Mayo Okamoto: Hello |
 No review available. |
| Mayo Okamoto: Help Me (CD-Single) |
 No review available. |
| Mayo Okamoto: Crystal Scenery |
 I had mixed
feelings when I bought the CD, because it came with seven songs and the fact that I had some of them on other CDs. But I must say that I really enjoyed listening to it and it comes with a bonus CD single. The music is soft and soothing and if you like acapello-style music then this CD is worth it. |
| My Little Lover (featuring Akiko): Animal Life (CD- Single) |
A somewhat personal favourite of mine. The first song, Animal Life, is really great to listen to. The instruments include four electric guitars and one drum set. However I really couldn't listen to the second song, because it seemed to drag through the entire composition. |
| Rina Aiuchi: Close To Your Heart (CD-Single) |

| Romantic Mode: Vision Of Love |
An excellent album with a fast, moving beat and great vocals. Her singing talent brings out a lot of emotion, and both of the opening songs from Gundam X are in this album. |
| Ryoko Hirosue: Complete Singles |
A compilation of most of her singles, and remixes of two of her songs. The song Daisuke, was written by Mayo Okamoto. |
| S.E.S: I'm Your Girl |
This album, released in 1999, comes with ten songs and a VCD that has three of their music videos. Most of the songs on this album have a slow and soothing beat and are sung in Korean. |
| S.E.S: Reach Out |
A very popular group consisting of three Korean girls who sing a mix of Japanese and Korean dance songs. Upbeat and smooth, their vocal abilities are wonderful making this album an excellent choice. |
| Speed: Alive (CD-Single) |
A medium paced song followed by a fast paced dance song, which I found to be enjoyable to listen to. |
| Speed: Precious Time (CD-Single) |
A borderline single, though I enjoyed the second song very much. |
| Speed: Breakin Out To The Morning(CD-Single) |
An excellent CD single with the hit song, Breakin Out To The Morning. |
| TRF |
A twin CD set containing a collection of TRF's best songs. Considering it was released in 1998, you may be able to order it if you can't find it. Comes in a cardboard case with a picture that looks like a camera on the front cover. |
| Two-Mix: BPM 150 Max |

| Two-Mix: Fantastix |

| Two-Mix: Fantastix II |

| Two-Mix: Baroque Best |
Not the typical Two- Mix techno-dance style, because they are all orchestrated remixes. There are two new songs on this CD, but it's very well done.. |
| Two-Mix: Dream Tactix |
Two new songs on this album, with the other songs included from previous albums and some of them have been remixed. The ending song from Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz movie is included. |
| Two-Mix: Side Formula |
 No review available. |
| Two-Mix: Rhythm Formula |
 No review available. |
| Two-Mix: True Navigation (CD-Single) |
This song is used for the third season opening for the tv series X-Files aired in Japan. |
| Two-Mix: Truth (CD-Single) |
Contains two songs which have a slightly different beat from the usual style. However, I found the songs enjoyable and the CD comes with a 30 second Quicktime movie. There are three different covers for this single, depending on the date of purchase. The cover shown here is the second release. |
| Two-Mix: Last Impression (CD-Single) |
This single has the image and ending song for the Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz movie. |
