donating one single stone
Dear devotees,
Salutations!
Pazhaiyaarai very near Kumbakonam was the capital of the Cholas during 9th
century. And the area around Pazhaiyaarai had many important temples built by
the various Chola Kings during their time. Today there are few ruins of the
then great spectacular temples in this once capital town of the great Chola
kingdom.
One such spectacular and grand temple of yester year near Patteeswaram is Sri
Gopinatha Swamy temple. The temple is said to have had seven raja gopurams
(towers) in different directions, and was spread in huge area. Lord
Mahavishnu incarnate Sri Gopinatha Perumal [Sri Krishna] with His consorts
Sri Sathya Bhama and Sri Rukmani are the presiding deities of this temple. It
is in this kshetra that the Lord appeared as Sri Krishna to Arjuna and as Sri
Rama to Hanumar. Sri Bhema had the viswaroopa Dharshan of Lord Hanumar in
this kshetra. The temple known as ‘Gopinatha Vinnagaram,had been rightl
called as ‘The Dwaraka of the south India” by Dr. U.V.Swaminath Iyer.
This temple had taken all the beating and shocks of the history and
negligence of the devotees, but even today Sri Gopinathaswamy had not failed
to provide solance to the devotees. Today, this once spectacular temple is in
shambles and presents a picture of tears except for the relics of the ruined
walls. The Hindu Religious Endowment Board has graciously sanctioned funds
for a “Soutary Pooja” and poojas are performed once a day through this
scheme.
The onus of rebuilding the temple is now with devotees of the Lord. For this
a charity Trust named “Sri Irattai Hanumar Paaripalana Arakkattalai” has been
formed. The main objective of this trust is to renovate the temple of Sri
Gopinatha Perumal. Through this appeal we invite all devotees to take part in
rebuilding this glories temple and bring back the glories due to this temple.
As a first step the renovation of the vimana of the main temple of Sri
Gopinatha Swamy is underway, and all are invited to visit the temple. As the
next step it is intended to build the “Sri Irattai Hanumar” [Twin Hanumars]
sannathi with granite stones. In order to enable all the devotees to
participate in the task of rebuilding this temple, as a unique venture, we
invite devotees to give donation for one stone each. Thus many devotees could
have the immense satisfaction of having participated in the rebuilding of
this glorious temple.
The list of stones and their cost is tabled below, and the devotees are
requested to give their name, gothram, birth star for participating in this
unique venture and make us move ahead towards the target.

மெய்யன்பர்களே,
கொஞ்சம் வாருங்கள், திரேதா யுகத்திற்கு செல்வோம். அதோ பாருங்கள்
ராமச்சந்திரமூர்த்தி அந்த உயர்ந்ந ஒரு கல்லின் மீது அமர்ந்திருக்கிறார்.
அமைதியான அந்த முகத்தில் புன்சிரிப்பு அவருடைய பார்வை கடலை நோக்கி உள்ளது. அங்கே
சேது பாலம் கட்டப்பட்டுக் கொண்டிருக்கிறது. கடலில் ஆர்ப்பரிக்கும் அலைகள் எங்கே?
வானரங்கள் பெரிய பெரிய கற்களைத் தூக்கிக் கொண்டு திடுதிடுவெனச் செல்கின்றன.
அவைகளுக்கு நடுவே அங்குமிங்குமாக மிகச்சிறியதாய் ஓர் உருவம்... கடலில்
குதிக்கிறது. ஓடி வருகிறது. மணலில் விழுந்து புரளுகிறது. மெல்ல மெல்ல செல்கின்றது,
கற்களுக்கு இடையே உடலை உதறுகிறது. மீண்டும் வேகமாய் ஒடி வந்து கடலில்
குதிக்கின்றது. பின் மணலில் புரளுகின்றது, மீண்டும் சென்று உதறுகிறது.
இதையே பார்த்துக் கொண்டிருந்த ராமச்சந்திரமூர்த்தி எழுத்துவிட்டார். கடற்கரையை
நோக்கி செல்லும் அவரது நடையில் அமைதி மணற்பரப்பில் அமர்ந்து விட்டார். கையை
நெகிழ்ந்து நீட்டுகிறார். அதில் குழைவு, கனிவு, அன்பு, அன்பு, அன்பு...
யாரைக்கண்டாலும் ஓடிவிடும் அகப்படாத அந்த ஜீவன் மகாப்பிரபுவின் அருகே அன்புடன்
ஓடிவருகிறது. அதன் முதுகை வாஞ்சையாய் தடவுகிறார். மென்மையாய் தடவுகிறார்.
முதுகில் அழகான மூன்று கோடுகள் விழுகின்றன. அன்பெனும் பிடியில் ஆண்டவன்
அகப்படுவான். ஆனால் இங்கோ கைங்கர்யம் எனும் பண்பால் ஆண்டவனின் அன்பில் அகப்பட்டது
அணில். அழகு பெற்றது. யாருக்கு கிடைக்கும் இப்பேறு.
அணிலாய் உதவிட வாருங்கள்
வளங்கள் நிறைந்த சோழவளநாட்டில் கும்பகோணத்திற்கு தென்மேற்கே பட்டீஸ்வரத்திற்கு
அண்மையில் ஆமைந்த கோபிநாத விண்ணகரம் என்னும் ஸ்ரீ கோகிநாத திருக்கோயிலில் ஸ்ரீமன்
நாராயணன் அர்ச்சாவதாரம் கொண்டு ஸ்ரீசத்யபாமா ஸ்ரீருக்மணி சமேத ஸ்ரீகோபிநாத
பெருமாளாக இருந்து, சேவை சாதித்து அருளுகின்றார். ஸ்ரீமன் நாராயணன்
இச்க்ஷேத்திரத்தில் அர்ஜுனனுக்கு ஸ்ரீகிருஷ்ணராகவும், அனுமனுக்கு ராமனாகவும்
காட்சியளித்தார், வீமனுக்கு அனுமான் விஸ்வரூபம் காட்டி அருளியதும், அனுமனுக்கு
ஸ்ரீமன் நாராயணனே எழுந்தருளி காட்சி கொடுத்து அருளியதும் இச்க்ஷேத்திரத்தின்
மகிமையாகும். தென்னகதுவாரகை என்றும் கோவிந்த விண்ணகரம் என்றும் கோபிநாத விண்ணகரம்
என்றும் அழைக்கப்படுகிறது. வைகுந்தத்தைப் போன்றே ஏழுதிருவாயில்களை உடையதாய்
மிகப்பெரிய தேர்மண்டபம் பெற்றிருந்து சிறந்து விளங்கிய இச்க்ஷேத்திரம்
காலப்பெருவௌளத்தாலும் நம்முடைய அறியாமையாலும் முற்றிலும் சிதைந்து கற்குவியலாகி
அவற்றில் பெரும்பான்மையும் காணாமல் போய்விட்டன. எளிவந்தபிரானாய் பெருமான்
வீற்றிருப்பதால் அவரது திருமேனியில் எலிகளும் அணில்களும் ஓடி விளையடுகின்றன.
வவ்வால்களின் எச்சங்களையே திருமஞ்சன திரவியங்களாகக் கொண்டுள்ளார். உலகினைப்
படைத்து காத்து புறந்தருளும் பரம்பொருளுக்கு இன்று பெயரளவில் ஒருகாலபூஜையே
நடைபெற்று வருகிறது. நெஞ்சை நெகிழச் செய்யும் இது போன்ற திருக்கோயில்களில்
கைங்கர்யம் செய்வது நமது கடமையல்லவா. அவ்வகையில் ஸ்ரீகோபிநாதர் சன்னதி வேலைகள்
நடைபெற்று வருகின்றன. இத்திருக் கோயிலில் இரட்டை ஆஞ்சநேயராக வடக்கு
நோக்கியிருந்து பிரதான பிரார்த்தனை மூர்த்தியாக ஆஞ்சநேய சுவாமி அருள்
பாலிக்கின்றார். இவர்கள் தற்போது கூரைக் கொட்டகையின் கீழ் எழுத்தருளியுள்ளனர்.
இவர்களுக்கு கருங்கல்லான கருவறை அமைக்க வேண்டியுள்ளது. இக்கைங்கர்யம் சத்சங்கமாக
நடைபெற உள்ளது. எனவே கருவறை அமைப்பதற்கான கருங்கல் வர்க்கம் 16 வகையாக
பிரிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. ஒரு வரி வர்க்கத்தின் பெயரும் அதில் ஒரு கல்லின் விலையும்
பின்கண்ட அட்டவணையில் குறிப்பிட்டப்பட்டுள்ளது. ஒரு நபர் பெயர், நட்சத்திரம்
இவற்றை தவறாது குறிப்பிட வேண்டுகிறோம். ஒவ்வொரு கல்லும் அடுக்கப்பட்டு 1008 ராம
நாமத்தால் அர்ச்சிக்கப்பட்ட பின்னரே பொருத்தப்படவுள்ளது. அன்பர்கள் தங்கள்
குடும்பத்தினர் மற்றும் நண்பர்களுக்கு தெரியப்படுத்தி இக்கைங்கர்யம் சிறப்பாக
நடைபெற அன்கோடு அழைக்கின்றோம்.
