Hello, I am Midnight Silver. Where to begin? I live in Columbia, Missouri. Moved here in 1998 from California (my home). It is so different here compared to Ca. 1) People are not as open here and they are hush, hush about things concerning Non-Christian Religions. 2) Most people I come across seem really stuck up and think they know it all. I'm not trying to be mean, or trying to say that all of the people are stuck up. But there are some people that are stuck up. So, the atmosphere here is a little weird. I guess it is because in the part where I lived, we have so many diversities that we don't judge and we are very open-minded. Yes. I guess you could say I am being judgemental.
Anyways, enough of that. I found my religion by doing a lot of research and I'm still doing it. I found out that one of my own family member was also into Witchcraft. I hung out with friends who also were. I used to hang out with people that didnt believe in the Good part but only the Bad. And because of that I started researching into Witchcraft. I wanted to know why they were doing the things they were doing, what they believed in and so forth. It took me a while to not be mad at them after I understood what was going on.
I found My religious path when I was really young. I never did like Church, it always made me tired. I had friends that were into Wicca. I follow my Native American path. I found out that I am part Chickasaw and ever since then I have been doing research on my tribe. Their language, their lifestyle and so on. I started attending Pow-Wows, and dancing at Pow-Wows. Which of course, I only know the traditional dance. But I would love to learn the jingle dance. I love to listen to Native American Music, burn sage, and talk to animals (which some people think I am crazy because of this). I have been involved in my path for about 6 years now. Recently I have been reading books on Native American Shamanism and have been following down that path as well. I am learning more and more on animal totem, which My Animal Totem page will have more information. It is still under going construction. So please pardon the dust. I am drawn to the two most important, misunderstood, and unique of the animals. They are the Wolf and Hawk.
