Characters from the Voltron Series

Characters from Arus:
King Alfor-The father of Princess Allura and king of planet Arus. A wise and peaceful ruler, he is killed by the wicked king of the Druel Empire, Zarkon. But even in death, Alfor still comes to his daughter in great times of need to offer advise and comfort. He is seen off and on throughout the series as a spirit.
Princess Allura- After the death of her parents, it was left up to her to lead her people in the battle against Zarkon. But after her father was killed, Arus was ravaged and many places left in ruins. Though her people and her planet have been terrorized by Zarkon, she forges on with her friend Coran by her side to aid her.
Prime Minster Coran-The advisor to the princess of planet Arus, Allura. He gives her wise council in times of need and also watches out for her welfare. He also takes care of official business and keeps watch over The Castle of Lions. He becomes a good friend and guardian to the princess after the death of her parents.
Nanny- Originally Allura's governess when she was a child, Nanny returns to Arus to watch over Allura. She is rather strict but also very protective of the princess. She appears I believe in the first half of the first season(but I could be wrong. It's been a while since I've seen the series.)
The Voltron Team:
Five space explorers rocket from Earth on a mission though I can't remember exactly what that mission was.{I really need to get the series and watch it again. I know it's out on dvd, but with money being tight, haven't had a chance to buy it yet.) I do remember they end up as prisoners of King Zarkon on planet Doom. They all bust out and end up on Planet Arus where they meet Princess Allura. Afterwards they discover the five lions that make up the robot Voltron and become the pilots of each lion.
Keith- He is seen as the captain of the team. Keith can be headstrong, but also loyal to his friends. He takes the lead in most situations and becomes captain of what becomes The Voltron Force. He pilots the Black Lion.
Lance- Pilot of the Red Lion, Lance sometimes lets his mouth get him into some hairy situations. He tends to smart off and has a bit of chip on his shoulder. At one point he says something that gets Keith so agitated they almost get into a fist fight. But when it counts he's always there for the rest of the team.
Pidge- The youngest(and shortest) member of the team. Pidge doesn't let his youth or his size get in the way of his big heart and tremendous courage. He fights just as bravely as the taller members of the team. Pilot of the Green Lion, he is also a computer whiz and often comes up with many useful...and sometimes bizzare contraptions.
Sven- Originally the pilot of the Blue Lion, Sven is the swedish member of the group and has a thick swedish accent. He is present through the first half of the first season until he is badly hurt by Haggar when he is caught in one of the witches magical spells. I don't remember him being the most talkative of the group. After he is injured, Princess Allura, against the advice of Coran and Nanny takes over as pilot of the Blue Lion.
Hunk- Not the most refined member of the group, but a good and faithful friend non the less. Hunk sometimes tends to let his temper get the better of him when his friends are threatened. He pilots the Yellow Lion.
The Royal Family of Planet Doom:
King Zarkon- The ruler of Planet Doom, Zarkon rules his kingdom with an iron fist and without mercy. With a lust for universal domination, Zarkon vows to crush all who stand in his way. With the help of Haggar the witch, he eliminats Voltron as a threat to his plans. The mighty robot is split into five lions and scattered to remote parts of Arus so the robot warrior can never again trouble the wicked king.
Prince Lotor- Heir to Zarkon's throne, Lotor has been raised to be as evil and cruel as Zarkon. Desiring his father's throne and power, he plots several times to over throw Zarkon and claim the crown. But he also has another goal, to make Princess Allura his wife. Ever since seeing her on his first journey to Arus he becomes obsessed with making her his. But he is so enthralled with her that he cannot strike the fatal blow that would assure victory. This drives a huge wedge between Zarkon and Lotor, not that they were that close to begin with.
Princess Coralle- While not a member of the royal family of planet Doom in the series, she was once to be bethrothed to Lotor by order of his father King Zarkon. But Lotor refuses to marry her wanting only Allura as his bride. The princess returns to her home of planet Demos broken hearted by Lotor's refusal to marry her.
