LATEST UNCUT REVIEW FROM THE FLOOR JAN 26TH 2004 HIGHLANDER II ALTERNATE VERSIONS There are atleast 5 known versions of this film. If you are a true fan if Highlander you will own all of these versions. The 3 known available versions are - HIGHLANDER II: RENEGADE VERSION DIRECTORS CUT 108 MINS HIGHLANDER 2: THE QUICKENING ORIGINAL 90 MIN THEATRICAL VERSION HIGHLANDER II 2004 SPECIAL EDITION However, did you there are two versions that have rarely been seen and very rare. Both BTW are my favorite versions. Here are the two and an explanation of both - HIGHLANDER 2 EUROPEAN VERSION This version is close to the Directors Cut although it retains the Planet Ziest events. This version was released in Europe shorlty after the release in the U.S. Because the production was behind schedule and loosing money final cut was not given to the Producer and Director. After the horrible cut which was released to theatres, the producer and director went back and made the cut they intended adding the footage whcih was cut. Some of this footage would later be scene in the Renagade Verison, infact little to be known this is the workprint that would later be used in creating the Renegade Version. This version contains sequence of events more like the theatrical version but retains the editing shown in renegade version . Running time is 100 mins A 5TH VERSION? HIGHLANDER TV CUT A fifth version exists.This is the same as the "European Cut" although the ending is different It contains footage and dialog not seen in either of the other versions. In the 80's this verison was used for television broadcasts. Noteworthly Differences: -Connor and Louise leave earth for Ziest as seen on the 2004 Special Edition cut footage.
