This page is dedicated to one of my favorite artists, Enya.  I first heard Enya's Orinoco Flow (Sail Away) in a host of commercials but it wasn't until 1992 when a friend introduced me to her  CD titled Watermark.   I fell in love with her music instantly and have been listening to her soulful music ever since.  One of the things that I love about Enya's music is that all her songs are never redundant each piece has something different to offer.  Her music is soothing and brings me so much peace when  I listen to it.

Her real name is Eithne Ni Bhraonain.

Enya speaks (fluently) Irish Gaelic as her  first language and English as the second.

With 60 million albums sold since 1988's Watermark, this means that Enya has sold an average of over 10,000 albums per day.  That works out to about 12 copies during the time it takes to read these facts.

Her music has appeared in many more smash hit films, including "L.A. Story", "Green Card", "Toys", the TomCruise/Nicole Kidman film "Far and Away" and Martin Scorcese's "Age Of Innocence". Enya's new song 'Only Time' features in the film, "Sweet November", starring Charlize Theron and Keanu Reeves. In 2001 she records 2 brand new songs for Lord of the Rings - The Fellowship of the Ring soundtrack, "Aniron (theme for Aragorn and Arwen)" and "May It Be".

Enya has sold an excess of 50 million albums worldwide. Earnings from these sales have reportedly put Enya among Ireland's top hundred richest people
