Mountain Woman Art

Montana

Welcome

“In each life there comes at least one moment which, if recognized and seized, transforms the course of that life forever.”*    (*The Book of Runes … by  Ralph Blum)

~And the author goes on to say that one must rely on radical trust which is required to leap empty-handed into the void.  It was such a moment, not held in minutes of time, but in the flowing time of the movement of the Great River in my life that this magical moment came to me.   And I did trust and did leap and landed in the Real world of my Soul.  The story of my journey to the mountains and how it was and is a “River Voyage” is an ongoing and ever present Path that I follow.

~I am a 55 year old woman who, like my mother, at the age of 53, moved from my home of 30 years to the "HOME" of my heart. My journey has brought me here to the Montana mountains.

~I have been caring for patients as they cross over their own "mountains" of sort as a hospice nurse for the past 13 of my 30 years as a nurse.  It has been a path that has served me well.  I am learning to live in the moment, for that is all that any of us have.

~I am a woman who has lived about three lives in one lifetime.  I loved and was married to men, became the mother of three wonderful souls (my children, now grown, are 26, 27, 28) and now consider myself a lesbian.

~I am a late bloomer as an artist.  I had no clue that I could sculpt or paint until a few years ago.  As I allow my life and spirit to unfold this great bloom within me, I am learning about trust, joy, peace, and mercy.

~It is my hope that you will stop to read, observe, inhale and absorb the Spirit's touch upon my heart and from that, allow your own spirit to soar.
