Danielle Rausa - Lead Vocals / Saxophone / Flute
/ Guitar
Has been performing since she was a
child. Her love of music is shared on a daily basis as a teacher
of music in a middle school. She performed all through college in
the Buffalo area and returned to Syracuse to continue performing with
the premier band “Chemistry” in 1996. She formed Mood Swing in August
of 2001 as the lead singer and front person. Danielle’s powerful
and diverse vocals along with her ability to play various woodwind and
stringed instruments give Mood Swing its distinct and unique sound.
John Sucapani
- Drums / Percussion / Vocals Currently hiding in plain site. As the newest member
of the group John anchors the rhythm section as well as adding great harmonies
and even some leads. Hopefully the witness protection program will
keep him placed with us for a long time.
Dave Arliss - Bass / Backup Vocals Picked up the bass at age 14 and
has played in the Syracuse-Ithaca-Cortland area. His biggest influences
came from his high school years: The Beatles, Stones, and Cream. For the
past 30 years Dave has worked and recorded in cover bands as well as original
groups. He even sang in a church choir for 20 years. Dave’s classic sound
and style reflects the music of the past and present. "I've played
everything from C&W to Jazz and like all kinds of music. My goal is to
expand my opportunities and abilities as a musician, and to play as much
good music as I possibly can!"
Don Shoudy - Guitar / Vocals Don is one of the most experienced
guitarists in Central New York. He started his performing career in the
60's with The Nightcaps and Michael. As the many moods of music surfaced
in the 70's and 80's, Don performed with Silk and Nightshift. Before Mood
Swing, he was playing with Buster Skidd throughout the 90's. His classic
sound and style reflects the music of the past and present.
