One word: AWESOME!!! SHAOLIN SOCCER, will excite anyone who sees it. Shaolin Soccer mixes comedy, martial arts, a bit of drama, & of course, soccer. And succeeds with a movie completely on its own genre. Shaolin Soccer begins in the past. Fung(Ng Man-Tat), a.k.a Golden Leg is a cocky, talented soccer player who's bullying Hung, a teammate of his. Hung, with his own evil ambitons successfully frames Fung, into missing a winning goal during a championship. After missing the goal, Hung's gang rushes towards Fung breaking the Golden Leg's right leg crippling him for life. The present: Hung, now a successful businessman is also the Chairman of the China Soccer Tournament League, Fung, although a cripple, is a struggling soccer coach, & Hung's errand boy.. When Fung asked Hung for a soccer coaching position, Hung informs Fung that he no longer has a need for him & telling Fung, finally that it was he who made Fung miss the goal, & to make Fung a cripple. Now homeless, Fung while walking in the city  meets Sing(Stephen Chow), a.k.a Mighty Steel Leg. Using the people as an example, Sing explains to Fung the benefits of learning Shaolin Kung Fu,(one of the most hilarious scenes in the movie!) & gives Fung a business card. Sing heads off to a bakery shop when he's surprised by seeing a baker that uses the laws of Tai-Chi to bake delicious rolls. Sing eats three of these rolls & when the baker, Mui,(Vicki Zhao) charges him for it, he admitted that he had no money. He will however leave his old-worn out athletic shoes as collateral, until he can afford to pay her back.    Afterwards, Sing visits his first shaolin brother Iron Head telling him he wants to package the benefits of shaolin kung fu, to show the world the true greatness of it. Iron Head having left his shaolin past behind wasn't much of a help to Sing, so instead asks Sing to sing  in a duet with him. For Iron Head is a singer in a nightclub.. only to be beaten up by gangsters. The next day, the gangsters threatens to beat Sing up again, fed up, Sing who promised his Master not to use kung fu in fights uses instead, a soccer ball. After some jaw-dropping special fx, & Sing's use of his Mighty Steel Leg, teaches the gangsters a lesson; not to piss off a shaolin monk who has a soccer ball & a mean kick. Fung, after witnessing what had just happened, convinces Sing to join his soccer team to be. Sing,(with hesitation at first) successfully convinces his four other shaolin brothers; Iron Head, Empty Hand, Weight Vest, Iron Shirt, & Hooking leg, to form the Shaolin Team. Together with Fungs's coaching they plan to win the soccer championship. And the gangsters who tried to beat up Sing, also joins the shaolin team. After being beaten up by Sing, they had much respect for him. After enduring Fung's harsh training, he arranges a friendly game of soccer with another coach & a team. As soon as the game started it became clear that the team their playing against are actually there to beat the living crap out them. A funny "Saving Private Ryan-like" scene is also thrown in, hilarious indeed!!! When Sing complains to Fung about what's happening. Fung explains that a soccer game itself, is a battle. Therefore they should play soccer as if in a battle. Fung is toughening the shaolin team, in a brutal sort of way. As Iron Head surrenders he is also humiliated by the opposing coach, by forcing Iron Head to wear the coaches' underwear over his head. As Iron Head wears the underwear with disgrace, Sing while looking up in the sky, tells Fung, he feels his brothers are coming back. Fung, not knowing what he meant by that is suddenly awestrucked when he discovers the shaolin team in a middle of deep meditation. As each one of them woke up they bring with them the kung fu they thought they've lost.  Each one of the shaolin team demonstrates their particular specialty, scaring the crap out of the opposing team in the process. The shaolin team once again grasping their inner power, & strength, exactly what Fung had intended. Now they are ready to play soccer. Fung signs the shaolin team up in the soccer league, Hung sees them & greets Fung. When Hung asked which team he's signing   CLICK TO CONTINUE...
