Hi!
Welcome to my home page, I will try to add what I like and the things that I do.

I have two main activities, my professional side and artistic side. I will be talking more about the artistic side, which I love the most: Playing spanish guitar, mostly flamenco style guitar.   For those who may be wondering which is my professional side, well I'm an executive of the largest mortgage institution in México and Latin America. The thing that I do for the bank is mainly to securitize the mortgage portfolio; I also have a strong expertise in valuation and sale of Financial Assets, among some other things.

Where did a learn?
It's a little long story, well bear with me:
First with a teacher who hasn't anything to see with flamenco, but I got the basics from him.   Then with a spanish player who was famous in Mexico during 60's and first half of 70's. David Moreno (you can still find records of him in México) He didn't play flamenco for living, but spanish folk pieces like jotas, sevillanas, Paso doble and popular spanish songs, he used to tour with Carmen Amaya and Sabicas, but he knew flamenco rithms. Unfortunately he passed away in 1980 when he was beginning to teach me flamenco rythms. During that (knowing that he didn't had much time, he told me, "follow the ways of Paco De Lucia", which he knew very well) and he told me that I had the abilitties needed.   Then his widow invited me to take classes from a Gipsy "cantaor" together with her son and daughters,  it lasted for almost 8 months.
Then, I took classes with
Julio Cesar Oliva who I consider the best classical Guitar Player and Composer in México (he is great), he respected what I liked to play and helped me to improve my technic. I ended taking Classes in 1984, after I finished university and started to work.   Since then I try to teach my self whether from records or watching performances or by written things. Well that's the story, now you see it´s a miracle that I can play.

Like Einstein used to say about inventions, it's 5% inspiration and 95% experimentation.   "Anything can be achieved with patience and work".
