To fall in love online
is such a fantasy
bringing two hearts together
and avoiding reality.

To love someone afar
that you may never see
and hoping for a connection
that perhaps will never be.

Online love is out there
hidden in it's disguise
a love that seems so perfect
without looking in one's eyes.

Never having to know
if all you feel is true
just sending words of love
it's the natural thing to do.

But will this person care
when you are feeling down
for perhaps on that day
they won't even be around.

You can not hug your lover
you cannot really kiss
and there's so much more
that you will really miss.

Yet online love is easy
just like picking up a phone
but when reality finally hits you
you'll see you're all alone.

I've been in love online
and it did make my heart reel
but the next time I fall in love
I pray it will be real...
