The Notable Flip Side

They say some of my ancestors came over on the Mayflower..

They say some of my ancestors were already here...

They say some of us went along on the trek across the western wilderness...

They say my people slowly wandered down to this state we live in now...

But since the one and only thing they all really agree on is that we settled in Pennsylvania in the 1860's, well, perhaps we should start there.

After they purchased this big ol' farmhouse, the one my Gram lives in today, and many acres of ground, they put their roots in deep, and began to work the land. They built it up, raising stock growing the very sustenance they needed to survive. And our family began to grow...

We flourished...

The young'uns grew up, the 'rents passed on the legacy to the youngest, and there my Pap made his mark in this world. He wisely married Grams, and together they raised a brood of their own. My dad was the third of seven...

He lived on the farm, working it, nurturing it, and growing up in the upcoming land of opportunity. He did not follow in the ways of the farm but branched out as an adult, married li'l Mama, and this generation was born...

Ah... to be continued... for the first member of the next generation to come, has just gotten married, and he in turn, with his wife has brought forth yet another generation... Yes, definitely to be continued...
