This page is dedicated to my Mother, Edna Kathryn Miller Foster
Sadly missed by Carol, Sharon, Connie, Bob and Dick
"You may have tangible wealth untold; Caskets of jewels and coffers of gold. Richer than I you can never be, for I had a Mother who read to me."
Strickland Gillilan (1869-1954)
The first time I head about Heaven
Mama was smiling and rocking my cradle
and singing "Won't It Be Wonderful There?"
I can still see her happy tears a-falling
and I can still hear my Mother in prayer.
Now, if there's no Marriage Supper
no gathering of millions to feast at the Table,
no singing "Saved by His Marvelous Grace"
oh, my soul will be fed and contented
if my eyes should behold His Sweet Face!
Now, if the Walls are not Jasper,
and if the Streets are not Gold
if my mansion should just be a cabin
as long as it's Heaven..it's Home!
The only thing my eyes long to vision,
the only thing my heart needs to know,
is that somewhere on the Hills of Mount Zion
Is the King setting high on His Throne...
The King setting high on His Throne!!!
