06/30/01: I Lost My Mucous Plug!!! | ||
On 6/30/01 around 1:15 am, I got up to use the bathroom, as usual. Well, I noticed a very thick and clear discharge and there was a lot of it. I thought and thought about it and discovered that I had finally lost my mucous plug. The mucous plug is something that keeps bacteria out of the cervix and comes out on its own. I looked it up in my pregnancy books and they all say that even though the mucous plug has come out, it can still mean 1-2 weeks until labor begins. The books also say that it could be the start of labor but that wasn't the case when mine decided to fall out. I am excited that the plug has dropped because that brings me one step closer to delivery and I can't wait to see my little one and be able to hold him/her. Well, this is a short update but I thought I would let everyone know that I am one step closer....WooHoo!!! | |
