Now grab a pick and lets get to work! a previously unknown command was recently discovered in drak the syntax for this command is XXXXXXXXXXX --- this line deleted for security reasons --- if u used this command it would say that u need the proper tool to mine with well the obvious tool was a mining pick from aleria mining camp if u held a pick in ur right hand and stood next to a wall (illusion walls didnt work) and used this command in the direction of the wall u would get msg u pound at the rock there was a percentage chance that u would actually get a chance to mine something if u were attempting to mine an invalid hex then u would get msg there is nothing there to mine but if u were directing ur efforts toward an existing wall in drak and it was a passwall hex then u would get msg some rocks flake away there was also a percentage chance that ur efforts would be successful and then u would get msg the wall collapses when this happened the hex u were standing on would be copied to the hex with the wall u were mining if u were standing on a water hex then the mined hex became water if u were standing on stairs then that hex became a set of stairs and they were real working stairs this command actually altered the game grid well me being the inquisitive person that i am i recruited some fellow adventurers and began to explore the game grid after all, my recent life has been devoted to the study of the world of drak and i could not pass up an opportunity to go where no drakkarian has gone before in the interests of science of course mining to me means digging a hole and a hole imo should go somewhere and stairs definitely make the best holes in drak :P so we began punching holes all over started in n-3 becuz that was where this wonderful ability was discovered i determined that n-3 is directly above n-4 on the game grid i also determined that naga lair is on n-4 just like it is shown on some of the maps i have seen i was unable to get to naga lair itself becuz of nonpasswall hexes being in the way the strategic placement of nonpasswall hexes in many areas leads me to believe that i am not the first one to *drill* from one lvl of a dungeon to another we made stairs going up from n-3 and these lead to n-1 so n-1 is directly over n-3 on the game grid we also drilled some stairs in rb lvl going up these all made me go to the nork restore hex if i climbed them this leads me to believe that rb lvl is at the very top of the game grid when we drilled down from rb lvl the stairs went to randys nomans land above nork that u used to be able to get to thru the nork school once i determined where those stairs lead i discontinued explorations there as randy had been touchy about ppl being there in the past drilled a set of stairs up from the evil vendor area under the warehouse behind w bank in nork they just went straight up to nork surface so n-1 is directly below nork i strategically drilled some stairs to come up on the bankers hex just for kicks :P we also drilled in m-1 to maeling surface and to m-2 these stairs just went directly above and below m-1 so m-1/2 are directly below the *real* stairs leading to them on the game grid this was all the exploration we did as i had been up all night mining and was very tired when i logged in the next day my account was locked so i do not suggest that u try to use the mine command :P i am sure it has been disabled by this time anyway all of this leads me to some questions is the mine command an old forgotten command like ride? or is it something new that brad is working on? would be kinda cool to mine for stuff maybe get gold or silver nuggets that u can sell being able to permanently knock down a wall till the next reset is also a very interesting feature in closing id like to apologize to randy and brad for any extra work i may have made for them that was not my intention i figured that anything i did would be erased by the next reset so what is the harm? and i would also like to apologize again to everyone for getting twigs and tps erased this was unforeseen by me and i must say that i think it is unnecessary the only stairs that could possibly go to a sensitive place are the ones that go to randys nomans land and ppl have had access to there for years anyway DeathWish - Leader of the Kaladim Mining Expedition |
