Gosford Park

School's ended finally and I could release my restraint love of movies. So I rushed to the cinema to see "Gosford Park".

Robert Altman's always one of my fave directors and my favorite is always "Short Cuts". This time, he teams up with Clive Owen, my fave actor, so there's no way I should miss this film.

Clive Owen became my fave actor since last year when I saw the British film "Croupier" in a film festival. (I mentioned it last year too) He's not particularly handsome and looks like Dylan Mcdermott, but his eyes kill. He's so good in acting and you can always feel with his characters and being attracted to him instantly.

I hate to see a film without understanding the ending and "Gosford Park" is unfortunately one of them. Maybe I was too distracted by Clive Owen's performance and I missed the big picture this time. So in the end,I have to ask my friend about it and when she told me the truth, I just couldn't believe it. Did I fall asleep for a minute when the killer revealed his/her crime? How come I couldn't get it?

But the main thing about "Gosford Park" is not the Cluedo mystery, but the sarcastic dialogues and great acting. Not just Clive Owen did a great job, Maggie Smith as the unbelivably mean aunt is so funny and Kelly McDonald is kinda sweet (remember her in "Trainspotting"?). The only annoying character is Ryan Phillipe, whose Scottish accent is so bad and his womanizing character is so annoying that I always look away when he appears in the scene.

Because of my passion for Clive Owen, the day after I saw the film, I went online all day to see the BMW films he starred again and again and I noticed that his next movie will be "Bourne Identity" with Matt Damon. I also read about a rumor that Clive Owen is suggested to be the next James Bond. Wow, that's worth waiting...
