The Tapestry of Pain is an internet electronic magazine (e-zine) for self-injurers. There is no charge for reading the 'zine nor for being published in it. All advertising on these pages is generated by Yahoo! Geocities and is outwith my control.
The webmaster and designer of this site is Ravin. This is a pseudonymn as no one knows about my self-injury. I am from the United Kingdom, female, and 22 years old. I have been self-injuring for roughly eight years, entirely through cutting. I have been diagnosed with depression, for which I am receiving treatment. In common with many other self-injurers, I have received great support and comfort from the many excellent SI sites on the internet. I am also an avid reader of poetry, especially romantic (i.e. Byron, Shelley, Coleridge etc) poetry, and count among my favourite modern poets such people as Dylan Thomas, Ted Hughes, Carol Rumens and Gillian Clark. I also write poetry, though I do not intend to publish much, if any, of my work in this 'zine.
I am always delighted to receive comments and suggestions from readers, and I am also very happy to link to SI-related sites if you wish to ask.
