  • The Birth of Cesarean

Julius Caesar was one of the most important leaders of ancient Rome. The doctors who attended his birth (probably in 104 B.C) realized that Caesar's mother was dying in labor. They performed a radical surgery to save her baby- and tiny Julius Caesar was delivered by the procedure that now recalls his name: cesarean birth.
