LOOP-DE-LOOP CLOTH (LOOPDE) CROCHETPARTNERS.COM
For
the Model , I used Reynolds "Saucy" worsted weight and
Lily's Kable Kotton. I use it as a washcloth for the bath.
*This loopy washcloth is dedicated to Sharon B. <G>
PATTERN NOTES:
Substitute a Ch 2 for first hdc in a round.
On Rnds Between Loop Stitches: Push loops up so that you can
crochet behind them.
Change colors on odd numbered rounds with the loops. Use as many
colors as you want.
MATERIALS:
If you use a worsted weight cotton yarn, use a "H"
hook.
If you use 8/4 Cotton Rug Warp (or double strand of Cotton #10)
use a "D" hook
Use as many colors as you want and make any size that you want.
DIRECTIONS:
Rnd 1: Ch 4. Join with sl st to beg to make ring.
Rnd 2: Ch 4. *Work dc + ch 1 in ring. Repeat from *11 times. Sl
st to beg. (Twelve ch-1 spaces made)
Rnd 3: Sl st to first ch-1 space. *Ch 7, sc in next ch-1 space.

next st. (increase made) Repeat from * around. sl st to beg. (36
sts. = increase of 12 stitches)
For Next Odd Number Rnd: *Ch 7 sc in next hdc. Repeat from *
around. Do not join. (Same number of sts as in last even numbered
rnd)
For Next Even Rounds: Crochet behind loops like you did for rnd
4. Sl st to first hdc. Work 2 hdc in same st. *Work hdc in next 2
sts .Work 2 hdc in next st. (increase made) Repeat from * around.
Sl st to join. (48 sts)
Keep alternating between odd and even number rounds until you've
made your cloth the desired size. On even numbered rounds your
increases will occur thus: *Work hdc in next 3/4/5/6 sts. Work 2
hdcs so on)
