DAWN
birth of dawn awakens September early morning orange-red sun giving the gift of warmth to earth's dew-covered lawns as crows caw in their nests opening their beaks to feast on juicy worms _______________________
SILENT RIVER SPEAKS
silent river ripples and speaks as gusty October winds rush and swoop violently over open water then calmly resting until the next gush of wind rushes it _______________________
YEARS LONG PASSED
reading letters from years long passed tears well and stream from my lost eyes I long for those days when your embrace graced my soul and I pray for the day when I am no longer lost and cold _____________________

DARKNESS FALLS
darkness falls heavily over calm city as I walk these vacant miles praying I can find something to put in my pocket but all I find is a dime and a handful of rusted dust ______________
SEARCHING WITHIN
I stumble blindly and lose my way broken by hard pitfalls of life hoping to regain strength as I push myself on searching for escape from life's ruthless vise but I am held down _____________________
YESTERDAY
At times, it seems as if it was just yesterday when you said hello to me that cold winter day and rescued me from suffering misery I was clutching and gave me sense of hope _____________________
