CUTTING AND SEWING: Pre-wash and iron all fabrics before cutting. Use 1/4" seams to sew your blocks. Press all seams as you sew. This is a no-template, rotary cut and sew project.
Step 1. For each block, cut one 3-7/8" square from four different hunter green, teal, dark blue, and burgundy prints. Cut four 3-7/8" cream on cream or white on cream print squares. Cut these squares in half on the diagonal to make eight bright hunter green, teal, dark blue, and burgundy triangles (2 of each print) and eight white on muslin print triangles.
Step 2. Cut one 3-1/2" center square fom a contrasting hunter green, teal, dark blue, and burgundy print. For a set of six identical blocks you will need to cut a total of 24 hunter green, teal, dark blue, and burgundy print squares and 24 cream on cream or white on cream print squares to make the 48 triangles of each needed to sew all six blocks. Cut 6 center squares.
Step 3. Sew one each hunter green, teal, dark blue, and burgundy color print to one each cream on cream or white on cream print triangle to make half-square triangle units. There are eight half-square triangle units in each block.
Step 4. Sew the half-square triangle units and the center square into three row units as shown in the diagram.
Step 5. Sew the three rows units together to complete the block. The size of your block measured with seam allowances will be 9-1/2". The finished size of the block (measured without seam allowances) will be 9".
