What to expect >> A return to their pop-punk heyday! The title track is unbelievably catchy, and the song "Church On Sunday" oozes a similar infectious vibe. However, grown-up twists abound: amid the bounce of "Minority" shines a mellow acoustic side and "Misery" verges on a Kurt Weill-ish death dance complete with strings and accordion. Comment: With Blink-182-style pop ruling the airwaves, the "Original" Proponents of PUNK are poised to reign as Kings of pop-Punk!!

What to expect >> Capitalizing on Mark, Tom and Travis' summer touring extravaganza with Fenix TX and Bad Religion, this live disc will include tracks spanning all three of Blink's albums. As a bonus, it features one previously unreleased studio track, titled "Man In A Boat Overboard." Comment: Every fan who's helped vote the band into the TRL Top Ten will be jonesing for this one.

What to expect >> According to vocalist Dexter Holland, it's important that the follow-up to 1998's Americana have a "melodic" punk feeling... the core of what we do and what we've always done." But he also takes care to mention offspring's penchant for throwing "a few curveballs." Satisfying those requirements, the songs tentatively scheduled for the album include covers of seminal punk anthems such as the Buzzcocks' "Autonomy" and D.I.'s "OC Live," as well as an as-yet-untitled track that uses a Donkey Kong sample as a drumbeat. Comment: While the band's goof quotient was raised substantially by hits such as "Pretty Fly (For A White Guy)," in hipper circles they're known as consistent musicians who proudly carry the punk-rock torch.
