The interests of the CFCV- Foggia group focus on the villages of Celle di San Vito, Faeto, Castelluccio Valmaggiore in Foggia province, related villages in Puglia and the immediate surrounding areas of Abruzzo, Molise, Campania and Basilicata. Most of the group members are descendants of the three villages of Celle, Faeto and Castelluccio Valmaggiore, Foggia province, in Puglia (Apulia) region, Italy. A few of our CFCV members are searching for their surnames and background in the surrounding areas. These pages were created to help descendants find people sharing common interests in genealogy, ancestral heredity and background (social culture, local history events) in the CFCV-Foggia area. The C.F.C.V.- Foggia Group is a private group with a "family atmosphere" and it is not a public mailing list or a newsgroup. I'd like to acknowledge one of the cornerstones of the early C.F.C.V. Focus group - the late Ray LaMacchia. He generously shared his extensive civil records research, his experience, and wit with the early members of the C.F.C.V. Focus group and for this we are grateful. Ray's efforts may have inspired fellow C.F.C.V. members to further their research, to share their experiences and to visit the CFCV area in Italy, as well.   Offhand, I can think of several wonderful C.F.C.V. member/researchers who have continued to do the same and more over the years.  My thanks to all.
