Love Ring
This is one of many pretty variations on the traditional "Drunkard's Path" Block. I had used it some years ago in a hand peicing sampler class and its always been one of my favourites. The setting itself can be used with many quarter circle blocks such a Grandmother's Fan or New York Beauty to give a more complex look.
Piecing together curved seams tends to make quilters shy away from the D.P. blocks. Did you now that you can make 4 units at one time and never have to sew a curved seam? I've included instructions for an "easy" method that I like in lovering-2.pdf. I've also drafted up traditional templates if you prefer, available for download at Kathleen's Bravepages. ( First link under "Looking For My Quilting Patterns" )
Please remember that this pattern is for your personal use only. If you have any questions or comments, please e-mail me kfitz835@yahoo.com and I'll try to help you out.
