Pie Crust (Using Shortening)

Ingredients:

Cup

All-Purpose Flour

1

Tsp

Salt

Cup

Shortening

Tbl

Cold Water

Directions:

Combine flour and salt in medium bowl, Cut in shortening using a pastry blender or 2 knives until flour resembles coarse meal.

Sprinkle with water, 1 tablespoon at a time. Toss lightly with a fork until dough forms a ball.

Divide dough in half. Roll out dough into a circle on a lightly floured surface. Trim circle to 1 larger than upside down pie plate. Carefully remove trimmed dough. Set aside to reroll with other piece of dough.
