4 Ounces White Chocolate -- Melted
2 Cups Flour
1/2 Teaspoon Baking Soda
1/4 Teaspoon Salt
1/3 Cup Butter
1 Cup Sugar
1 Large Egg
1/4 Cup Buttermilk
1 Teaspoon Vanilla
1/2 Cup Sugar
1/2 Cup Semisweet Chocolate Chips
1 Tablespoon Shortening
Any Flavor Candycanes,Crushed, Optional
Mix flour, baking soda and salt together, set aside.
Beat butter in bowl for 30 sec. Add sugar, beat until light and fluffy. Add white choc, egg, buttermilk, and vanilla; mix well. Add flour mixture; mix well. Chill, covered, or at least one hour.
Preheat oven to 375°F.
Shape dough into 1" balls. Roll in remaining 1/2 cup sugar. Place 2" apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 10 minutes or until bottoms are lightly browned. Remove to wire rack to cool.
Melt choc. chips and shortening in small saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly. Drizzle over cookies; sprinkle with peppermint
