1/2 Cup Confectionersí Sugar
1 Cup Butter, Softened
1 Tsp Vanilla
2-1/2 Cup All-Purpose Flour
1/2 Cup Finely Chopped Pecans Or Walnuts
1/4 Tsp Salt
48 Candied Cherries, 48 chocolate covered cherries, 12 Caramels (Cut Into 4 Pieces), Or 48 Candy Kisses (flavor of choice)
†Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Mix 1/2 cup confectionersí sugar, butter and vanilla in large bowl. Stir in lour, nuts and salt until dough holds together.
Mold portions of dough around centers of choice (cherries, kisses, caramels etc) to form 1 to 1-1/2 inch balls. Place about 1 inch apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 10-12 minutes or until set but not brown. Roll in confectionersí sugar while warm. Cool completely on wire rack. Roll in confectionersí sugar again once cool.
