Gold Cinnamon Cookies



1 Cup Butter

1 Cup Sugar

4 Egg Yolks

1 Tsp Vanilla

1-1/2 Cup All-Purpose Flour

2 Tsp Baking Powder

1/2 Cup Finely Chopped Pecans

1/8 Tsp Salt

2 Tsp Cinnamon


 In a medium bowl with an electric mixer, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the egg yolks and vanilla; beat well.

Sift the flour and baking soda together; stir into creamed mixture.

Combine the pecans, salt and cinnamon in a small bowl. Roll the dough into small balls the size of walnuts. Roll the balls of dough in the pecan mixture to coat completely.

Place on a greased cookie sheet about 2 inches apart. Bake in a 375 degree F oven for about 10-12 minutes or until edges start to brown. Remove to wire rack to cool.
