Bow Knots

Ingredients:

Extra large eggs

Sugar

Flour

Baking powder

Salt

Vegetable oil for frying

 

Confectioners sugar for sprinkling

Directions:

In a large bowl, beat the eggs with the sugar, add flour, baking powder and salt, mixing well.

Begin heating the oil in a saucepan over high heat to prepare for frying.

Roll the dough into a thin layer using a pastry roller, using a pizza cutter with a serrated cutter, cut dough into x 5 lengths.. Tie each length of dough into a loose knot and drop the dough into the hot oil 3-4 at a time.

Remove pastries when they are a golden hue, placing them on paper towels to drain, Sprinkle with confectioners sugar and serve.
