Chocolate Sugar Drops

 

Ingredients:

Confectioners sugar

Cream of tartar

Directions:

Cream buter, oil, confectioners sugar, and the egg in a large bowl. Combine the flour, cocoa, baking soda, cream of tartar and salt in a small bowl. Add to the creamed mixture with the vanilla, stirring until the dough is smooth. Cover; refrigerate 30 minutes or overnight.

Preheat oven to 350. Lightly grease cookie sheets or line with parchment paper.

Shape the dough into balls the size of marbles (teaspoonsfuls). Place 2 apart on prepared pans. Flatten each cookie to about 1/3 thickness with bottom of glass dipped in granulated sugar. Bake for 10 minutes or until firm. Do not overbake. Remove to wire rate to cool.
