Pound Cake

 

Ingredients:

Butter, Softened

Cup

Sugar

5

Eggs

Tbl

Vanilla Or Brandy

Cup

All-Purpose Flour

Directions:

Preheat oven to 300F. Grease and flour a 9 loaf pan.

In a large bowl, cream the butter well with an electric mixer. Add the sugar gradually and cream the mixture until light and fluffy. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add the vanilla or brandy. Sift the flour onto waxed paper and add it gradually to the batter, beating well until smooth. Pour the batter into the prepared pan. Bake for one hour and 15 minutes, or until a tester inserted in center comes out clean.
