Mayonnaise Cake

 

Ingredients:

All-Purpose Flour

Sugar

Baking Powder

Mayonnaise

Baking Soda

Cocoa

Cup

Water

Icing:

Sugar

Cup

Cocoa

Cup

Milk

Cup

Butter

1

Cup

Pecans, chopped (optional)

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350F. Grease and flour a 9x13 baking pan.

Place all ingredients in a mixing bowl and with an electric mixer mix until well blended. Pour into prepared cake pan and bake for 25 minutes.

Icing: Mix together sugar, cocoa, milk, and butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Cook until mixture begins to boil, boil for 1 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool for 3 minutes. Beat with a wooden spoon until it begins to thicken, if using pecans add at this stage. Pour on warm cake. Speading to cover.
