Preheat oven to 350º. Generously grease a 10” fluted tube pan or bundt pan.
Filling: In a medium bowl, combine cream cheese, sugar and egg, beat until well blended. Stir in chocolate chips. Set aside.
Cake: In a large bowl, combine flour, cocoa, sugar, baking soda and salt. Add water, oil, vinegar, and vanilla, beat until well blended. Pour ½ of the batter into prepared pan. Spread filling over batter, top with remaining batter. Bake 50-55 min or until a pick inserted in center comes out clean.. Cool in pan10 min . Remove cake from pan and cool on wire rack.
