Cranberry-Lemon Bread

Ingredients:

Grated lemon rind

Fresh cranberries, chopped

Cup

Walnuts, chopped

Sifted powdered sugar

Lemon juice

Directions:

Cream butter, gradually add, sugar, beating well. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add lemon rind, mix well. Combine flour, baking powder, and salt, add to creamed mixture alternately with milk, beginning and ending with flour mixture. Mix well after each addition. Stir in cranberries and walnuts.

Pour batter into a greased and floured 9x5x3 loaf pan. Bake at 350 for 55-60 min or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes up clean. Cool in pan 10 minutes; remove from pan and let cool completely.

Combine powdered sugar and lemon juice, mix well and drizzle over bread.
