Buttermilk Biscuits

 

Ingredients:

All-Purpose Flour

Butter, Cut Into Cubes

Cup

Buttermilk

Directions:

Preheat oven to 425F.

Sift together flour, sugar, baking powder, slt and baking soda into a large bowl, Cut int the butter with a pastry blender or 2 knives until mixture resembles coarse meal. Add buttermilk and stir with a fork unitl a dough forms. Turn dough out onto a floured surface and knead gently 6 times./ Pat out dough into a 8 x 5-1/2 rectangle, Cut dough in hald, and then into thirds to make 6 biscuits. Place biscuits onto an ungreased baking hseet about 2 apart, brushing tops with milk. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
