60 Minute Rolls

Ingredients:

Package active dry yeast

1-1/2

Cups

Warm water

Tbl

Shortening

2

Tbl

Sugar

Egg, slightly beaten

1

Tsp

Salt

Cups

All-purpose flour

Directions:

In a large bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water. Add shortening, sugar and egg, stir until shortening is melted. Stir in salt and flour to make a soft dough. Place dough in a well greased bowl, turning to grease top. Cover and let rise in a warm place, free from drafts, for 15 min. Punch down dough, cover and let rise again for 15 min or until double in bulk.

Lightly grease muffin tins. Shape dough into 2 balls. Place one in each muffin cup. Cover and let rise for 15 min or until double in size.

Bake in a 400 oven for 15 min or until brown
