Hot Buttered Rum



Hot Buttered Rum Batter:

1 cup butter, softened

1 cup plus 2 Tbsp packed brown sugar

1 cup heavy whipping cream

2 cups confectionersí sugar

1/8 tsp ground cinnamon

1/8 tsp cloves

1/4 tsp ground nutmeg


Serving Mix:

2 Tbsp rum

1/2 cup boiling water

ground nutmeg


Beat butter and brown sugar in medium bowl with electric mixer on medium speed until light and fluffy, about 5 minutes. Beat in whipping cream and confectionersí sugar. Alternately on low speed until smooth. Stir in cloves, cinnamon and nutmeg.

For Each Serving: in a mug place 2 Tbsp rum and 2 Tbsp Hot Buttered Rum Batter. Sir in boiling water. Sprinkle with nutmeg.

Note: Prepare the batter ahead of time: Freeze 2 Tbsp of batter in sections of an ice cube tray; when frozen, place cubes in a freezer bag and remove as needed to make individual servings.
