Braised Beef in Cream

Hot Mulled Cider

Ingredients:

Cup

Brown sugar

1

Tsp

Whole allspice

1

tsp

cloves

 

 

Dash nutmeg

3

 

Cinnamon sticks (1 long)

Tsp

Salt

2

Quart

Cider or apple juice

 

 

Orange wedges

 

 

Whole cloves

Directions:

In a large saucepan combine sugar, allspice, cloves, nutmeg, cinnamon, salt and cider, bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover. Simmer for 20 minutes; strain. Stud orange wedges with whole cloves. Serve punch in mugs, garnish with orange wedges.
